ANC YOUTH LEAGUE WISHES MAMA WINNIE NOMZAMO MANDELA A HAPPY BIRTHDAY:

26 September 2011

Today, the 26th September 2011 marks the birthdate of the stalwart of the National Liberation Movement, a fearless leader of the struggles of South Africa and outstanding human being, Mama Winnie Nomzamo Mandela. Mama Mandela has remained a symbol and beacon of hope for many Freedom Fighters, particularly youth activists.

Throughout her existence, Mama Mandela always inspired, agitated and guided mass youth activism and struggles of the people of South Africa, even the leadership of the ANC was exiled and imprisoned for upholding values of the Freedom Charter. Mama Mandela never succumbed nor surrendered to the apartheid repressive system even when the evil system subjected her to house arrests, intimidation and harassment.

Post political liberation, Mama Mandela is amongst those who understands that the total liberation of the people of South Africa did not end in 1994. She understands that the liberation of the people of South Africa entails total transfer of land and minerals wealth to the ownership of the people as a whole. Mama has never pretended the struggle is over. 

Mama is amongst those who appreciate the role of young people in revolutions. In every conjecture of the struggle, Mama is looked upon by the youth as an inspiration for the revolution to go on. Mama does not loose patience with the youth and always has genuine passion to mould them into future leaders of the National Liberation Struggle.

Happy Birthday Mama! The Youth of South Africa Look Up to You Mama and Will Always Draw Inspiration to Fight Tirelessly for Economic Freedom in Our Lifetime.
