Minister's announcement regarding parole welcomed
Front National learned with immense gratitude, yet carefully optimistic, of the recommendation by the Minister of Correctional services, adv Michael Masutha, that Clive Derby-Lewis (78) be released on parole. Derby-Lewis is serving a life-sentence for his part in the assassination of the SACP Leader, Chris Hani, 22 years ago (see M&G Online report).
Front National wishes to express our most sincere gratitude to all party members, related and co-operating organizations and individuals, activists and all other sympathizers for their unwavering support and dedication to the process of public protest which started on 12 April 2014.
Continues protest actions for the release of other political prisoners will not be called off.
