The Congress of the People wishes to clarify that a coalition with the ANC is not on the cards. Our Presidential candidate, Dr Mvume Dandala,  stated that the basis of any coalition is adherence to higher values such as the defence of the constitution, but the ANC has obviously departed from defence of these high values and therefore change is required. The essence of his statements through numerous media is that unless the ANC revises its values such a coalition will be impossible.  

We have sadly noted the DA's distortion of this position for cheap political gain seeking to fuel baseless conspiracy theories suggesting that COPE is another version of the ANC.

The voters will see this propaganda for what it really is. COPE will continue to propagate for a change in government and prepare itself to provide South Africa with alternative government.
