#MsimangaForPremier: Corrupt ANC puts Vaal on the brink of collapse
11 October 2018
The Vaal region is on the brink of collapse as R800 million went ‘missing’ according to a report released by the Auditor-General.
This money was meant for the provision of services, such as waste management and the maintenance of the sewage and water works, for the people of Sharpeville, Sebokeng, Boipatong and adjacent towns.
The Auditor-General found that R872 446 370 was systematically looted through corrupt tenders by the ANC government.
As a result, the people of Emfuleni and the Vaal triangle have been put in grave danger as collapsing infrastructure means that residents and their livestock are exposed to toxic waste and pollution on a daily basis.
