COSATU NW condemns Zille's racist attack on SADTU

Solly Phetoe says DA is silent on black children killed by dogs and lions on way to school

COSATU NW condemns Zille's double standards

The congress of south African trade union and its affiliates in the North West province strongly condemn the attacks to COSATU by a racist DA leader who visited the NW province over the weekend.

Hellen Zille, the DA leader, chose to attack the federation and the ANC on its work on the ground including attacking one of the federation affiliates SADTU for holding its congress which was planned for the past three years.

The DA leader must be told publicly that SADTU or any of the COSATU affiliates will never request permission from anybody including DA to hold its congresses or any meeting. SADTU has followed all procedures including the Labour Relations Act.

The DA leader must first tell the public about racist farmers who continue to kill poor farm workers, continue to evict poor farm dwellers and manipulate the laws by using money.

Farm workers of this country are being treated badly by DA members who are farmers.

The DA leader has said nothing about these incidents. She behaves like the NPA which continues to represent the interests of the racist white farmers who are in power and use money to destroy our young democracy.

HELLE ZIEL must stop to talk about COSATU, she must tell the public what is she going to do with her own racist attitude and racist farmers who continue to kill the poor people of this country.

NW province is the home of racist famers who do not care about the lives of black people and are not respecting all the labour laws and human rights which enshrined in the constitution.  The DA has never been worried about our children, particularly school children who are used as farm workers and are forced by farmers not go to schools.  Some of the children are killed by dogs, lions on their way to school and the DA is silent on that. It is only now that the DA is worried about black children's education and it is using this ploy for its own 2011 election campaign which will not assist the children of the poor farm workers.
