DA celebrates by-election victory in Tshwane

The Democratic Alliance (DA) in Gauteng would like to congratulate the newly elected Ward 84 City of Tshwane Councillor, Anru Meyer on his election.

Tshwane’s support for the DA speaks for itself. We know that the past month has come with many upheavals, which can leave residents feeling as though their vote does not count.

Residents in the Moot have had their voices heard. The ANC-ActionSA-EFF coalition of corruption took it upon themselves to undo a stable government, yesterday, our hand in the Tshwane council chamber has been strengthened.

Every single vote, and every single seat in council matters. This hotly contested by-election outcome only serves to prove that.

We are proud of retaining Ward 84, and residents have chosen well, as Cllr Meyer will enter the Tshwane council chamber with their best interests in mind.

We believe that Cllr Meyer will serve the residents of Ward 84 with the same energy and dedication he has demonstrated during his tenure as a PR councillor, and during the campaign. Our best wishes accompany him.
