DA retains ward 10, Grabouw

The DA in the Western Cape is pleased to announce that we have retained ward 10 in Grabouw today.

In a hotly contested by-election, the DA managed to retain ward 10. We wish to thank our activists, public representatives and staff members for the hard work they have done to achieve this victory.

The results are as follows:

DA - 28.42% - 550 votes
ANC - 18.76% - 363 votes
EFF - 3.46% - 67 votes
PA - 20.83% - 403 votes
GOOD - 26.15% - 506 votes
PMC - 2.38% - 46 votes
Poll % - 45.59%

We wish to congratulate Johnathan Smit on being elected today. We are confident that he will serve his ward with distinction.

Today’s victory once again shows that people do not vote for parties who intimidate them or do underhanded dealings to buy votes. Voters chose a party that really cares, that ensures excellent service delivery and works hard for the communities it serves.

In the 2024 national and provincial elections later this year, we call on every resident in the Western Cape to ensure that they are registered to keep the Western Cape DA and play their part in rescuing South Africa.
