DA wishes former President Nelson Mandela a speedy recovery    

The Democratic Alliance has noted the announcement by the Presidency regarding the hospitalisation of Former President Nelson Mandela this morning.

Madiba is reportedly receiving specialist medical attention for an abdominal ailment.

On behalf of the Democratic Alliance, I wish Madiba a speedy recovery, and we hope that he will be able to return home as soon as possible. He will be constantly in our thoughts as he recovers.

We also trust that the Presidency will keep South Africa and the world constantly updated on the progress of our former President's recovery.
