STATEMENT ON MEMBERS WHO HAVE DEFECTED TO AGANGSA
Economic Freedom Fighters confirms that some of its members have indeed left the organisation, including members of the PCT in Gauteng. It must be noted though that members who have left don not constitute even 1% of the members EFF has in Gauteng. We are further aware that many of them defected because they were promised payments for the work they will do in AgangSA. This means they were bought by Dr. Mamphele Ramphele with the money she got from the sweat and blood of Mineworkers and our Mineral resources taken the fortunes she makes of shares from mining companies.
We are further not surprised that there will be people who defect because we also have thousands of members who came from existing Organisations, but because we do not suffer from an attention seeking syndrome, we never announce where our members come from. We recruit members as new members of the organisation and induct them into new Organisational policies and traditions.
Indeed, many people will from time to time, particularly in a democratic society, move from party to party. Thus, we wish all those who left a farewell. The EFF is only going to its third month since it formed as a mass party, and it already boasts with programs that have gained popularity with the popular classes. Economic Freedom Fighters therefore remains on course in its pursuit of economic freedom in our lifetime. It remains a radical, left and protest based movement whose policies are working class bias with a prioritization of black dignification in particular.
