EFF statement on the new member of the National Assembly Commissar Thapelo Mogale
17 August 2022
The Economic Freedom Fighters welcomes the deployment of Commissar Thapelo Mogale to Parliament as a member of the National Assembly. Commissar Mogale currently serves on the EFF Central Command Team, War Council, and is Head of Elections.
Commissar Mogale has been a member of the EFF since 2013 and has made a contribution to the growth of the EFF, particularly in the City of Tshwane. In 2013, Commissar Mogale was appointed to the City of Tshwane Inner City Interim Sub-Regional leadership and was elected EFF Branch Secretary of Ward 58 in 2014. Between 2015 and 2016, Commissar Mogale was deployed as the Convener of Region 3 in the City of Tshwane. In 2021, he was elected as EFF Tshwane Regional Secretary.
He has worked as a researcher for the EFF caucus in the City of Tshwane. Commissar Mogale has a Bachelor of Commerce in Law from the University of South Africa (UNISA), and he is currently enrolled for Honours in Economics.
Commissar Mogale brings with him a commitment to building the EFF in the struggle for economic freedom and will add qualitative value as a disciplined member of the EFF and Member of Parliament to serve our people. He belongs to the generation of fighters who responded to the clarion call on what is to be done when the EFF was formed in July 2013. We wish Commissar Mogale well and are confident that he will carry forward the struggle for economic freedom in our lifetime.
