Don't change horses in midstream - NEHAWU

Union says ANC has a clear and concise programme of transforming the country and its economy

NEHAWU SAYS, DON'T CHANGE HORSES IN MIDSTREAM, VOTE ANC TOMORROW

NEHAWU issues a call to all workers and South Africans in general to ensure that they vote for the African National Congress {ANC} in tomorrow's national general elections. All citizens should exercise their right to vote and we urge them to vote for the ANC, a party that brought us freedom and united the people of South Africa across racial, gender and class divides.

Voting for any other party now will be tantamount to attempting to swap horses in midstream. The ANC has a clear and a concise programme of transforming this country and its economy to benefit everyone. It will be unwise to change positions in the middle of this comprehensible and coherent project.

The ANC has shown its commitment to providing political and moral leadership to our society and has dedicated itself to fighting against corruption and maladministration. The ANC manifesto has identified education and skills development as crucial tools in the quest to transform the country into a flourishing one and in eliminating the current unacceptable gap between the rich and the poor.

Big advances have already been made by the ANC led government in providing basic services to all. South Africans have already benefitted from improvements in areas such as health care, social security, housing, electricity, water and sanitation, education etc.

A vote for the ANC, is a vote to consolidate the work already done and to give support to the efforts of building the economy and transforming the state.

A vote for the ANC is a vote against the combined forces of white monopoly capital and imperialism and represents a defeat for all the primary adversaries of our revolution. South Africans should ensure they exercise patience and tolerance during tomorrow's elections.

Let us all vote for the ANC and give support and momentum to the radical second phase of transition.

Together moving South Africa forward!

Aluta Continua!
