Double DA by-election victory in Tshwane

The Democratic Alliance (DA) in Gauteng congratulates the two newly elected ward Councillors in Tshwane - Lida Erasmus and Alta de Kock who comfortably won the by-elections in Ward 47 and Ward 64 respectively.

The results in these by-elections not only proves, but reaffirms the faith that voters have in the DA.

We continue to go from strength to strength in critical by-elections, and we firmly believe that this is because of the hard work our councillors do combined with our principled stance against lawlessness in the capital city, and beyond.

The results are as follows:

-     Ward 47

In 2021 69.84% & in 2023 98.60%

-     Ward 64

In 2021 53.31% & in 2023 66.88%

As the DA prepares for the 2024 elections, by-elections like these, only confirms to us what the voters clearly already know: the DA is the only viable choice. We strongly encourage all voters to Register to Rescue South Africa.
