EFF a violent party – DA

Party urges country to vote for change, not violence

Vote for Change, not Violence

25 April 2016

The EFF’s threat to use violence to remove the ANC government constitutes a violation of the values that underpin our democracy, and could be viewed as an incitement of violence.

In an interview on Al Jazeera last week, Malema said: "We are not ashamed, if the need arises for us to take up arms and fight, we will fight."

The DA condemns Malema's dangerous utterances with the seriousness they deserve.

This proves yet again that the EFF cannot be trusted by South Africans to defend our hard-won freedoms and to ensure South Africa moves forward again.

The EFF is a violent party that will stop at nothing to gain power.

It is indeed true that agree that iANC ayisafani. The ANC is no longer the party of Nelson Mandela, Oliver Tambo and Albert Luthuli. It is delivering rampant corruption, instead of jobs for our people. This is because Jacob Zuma and his ANC put themselves first and the people of South Africa last.

But violence is not the solution. Those who fought against Apartheid provided us with a powerful and peaceful way to remove a government that doesn’t care for the people: the ballot box.

Our message to South Africans today is to use this power to vote DA for change. This is the change that will stop corruption, deliver better services and create jobs. This is the change that will reject violence and uphold the rule of law. This is the change that will move South Africa forward again.
