Eskom salary negotiations 2013: NUMSA's demands

Union says entry level wage for lowest grade must be R12 500

SALARY NEGOTIATIONS 2013

NUMSA's DEMANDS TO ESKOM

1. Duration of Agreement

We demand that the agreement must be 1 [ONE] Year

2. Salary Wage Increase

Entry level for lowest grade T04 must be R 12500.00

Other grades we demand R 5000.00 Across the Board or 20% whichever is greater

All workers employees who are on minimums must be moved to maximums from July 2013

3. Medical Aid Scheme Contribution

We demand that Employer must Contribute 80%

Employees to contribute 20%

4. Housing Allowance Increment

We demand that the Allowance to be increase by R3000.00 to make R5000.00

EFC forms part of condition of ESKOM employees and should remain as such. NO to down variation

5. Transport Allowance / Subsidy

We demand Allowance or subsidy of R300.00 per month

6. Standby Allowance Increment

We demand that it must increase from the current to R120.00

We demand that weekend and public holidays must be doubled

7. Solar Geyser / Panel

We demand free solar geyser for all Eskom Employees

8. Electricity Allowance

We demand an allowance of Electricity of R 600.00

9. Performance Bonus Incentive

It must be based on 25% and be paid in June in each Year

10. Family Responsibility / Contingency Leave

Increase from the current to 20 days

11. Labour Broker

We demand labour Broker to be banned and all outsourced jobs to be insourced as of 1st July 2013

12. Maternity Leave

We demand 6 Months with full pay

13. Paternity Leave

To be increase from the current to 10 Days

14. Shift Allowance

2 Shift Allowance must increase from 10% to 15%

3 Shift Allowance must increase from 15% to 20%

15. Dog Handlers

Must increase from the current to R 400.00

16. Live Line High Voltage

We demand R 30.00 increase

17. JH Smith Study Loan

Must increase from the current to R 10 000.00

18. Retirement Age

Must be 60 years without penalty

19. Long Service Award

Long Service Award must be paid as follows!

10 Years R1500.00 once off

15 Years R2000.00 once off

20 Years R2500.00 once off

25 Years R3000.00 Once off

30 Years R3500.00 once off

35 Years R4000.00 once off

20. Death Benefits

To be extended to family

21. Essential Services Agreement

Allowance R1000

22. Other Allowances

All other allowances which are not mention on this list must be increased by 20%

The minimum services agreement should be concluded by end June 2013.
