FF Plus welcomes all support in fight against racial laws

The FF Plus has spent decades fighting against the ANC government's discriminatory policies and laws that are based solely on race, and welcomes the fact that there is increasingly, and across a broad spectrum, political parties and civil rights organisations joining hands to form a united front against the matter.
Today, the party undertook to join hands with the Kaapse Forum and Solidarity by supporting their request to open a special parliamentary debate on the employment regulations in terms of the Employment Equity Amendment Act with the aim of putting a stop to all of it.
The FF Plus was present when the Kaapse Forum handed this request to a parliamentary representative at Parliament in Cape Town this morning. According to the petition, the new law and its regulations are unconstitutional and irrational.
This builds on the resolution against the law that was adopted last week by political parties, including the FF Plus, businesspeople, trade unions, agricultural organisations, educational organisations and many other civil organisations that represent millions of South Africans.
The Employment Equity Amendment Bill will impose strict quotas for the workplace, which are entirely subject to the ANC's discretion.
This law is representative of all laws and regulations that direct Affirmative Action (AA) and Black Economic Empowerment (BEE), which the FF Plus has been fighting against since its foundation. The consequences of these policies and laws are exactly the opposite of what is envisioned with affirmative actions, and is a major cause of the economic decline and deterioration of the country.
This policy of the ANC simply created more injustices, while only a handful of individuals with direct ties to the ANC benefited.
The FF Plus will keep fighting in Parliament against the injustices created by the ANC, and believes it will gain momentum and culminate in an immense joined effort by political parties and the citizenry to oust the ANC with next year's elections.
