17 November 2022

The outcome of the by-election held in Ward 1 of the Bela-Bela Local Municipality (Warmbad) serves as proof that the FF Plus is showing sustained growth in support. The FF Plus won this Ward from the DA.

The FF Plus gained 59% of the votes cast.

Bela-Bela residents stood up for their town and community by siding with the FF Plus's candidate, Jee-Dee Cloete.

He is the newly elected Ward councillor and has already achieved much success, for the benefit of the community, during his term as proportional councillor.

The party drew 915 votes, so compared to last year's municipal elections, it grew with 75,6% in terms of the number of votes it polled.

The DA drew 546 votes and its number of votes, therefore, decreased with 58,7% compared to last year's elections.

Ward 1 residents voted in favour of improved service delivery and the FF Plus's promise of hope and effective opposition to the ANC. They stood up for their Ward and their future.

The by-election outcome demonstrates that the FF Plus is the growing alternative and proves that the party instils confidence in voters. The FF Plus truly listens to its voters and acts in their best interests.

The victory in this Ward means that the FF Plus now has an additional seat in the council, so it can more strongly oppose the ANC's mismanagement.

The FF Plus wants to thank every voter who put their faith in the party and voted for the growing alternative, which brings about real change and improvement. They are the real winners of this election.
