Ms D Kohler-Barnard (DA) to ask the Minister of Trade and Industry:

Whether any money was given to the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) by the National Lottery in (a) 2009 and (b) 2010; if not, what is the position in this regard: if so, (i) why was this not disclosed in his reply to question 930 on 11 April 2011 and (ii) for what specified purpose(s) was the money allocated in each case?

(a) According to the NLB, there were allocations to NYDA in 2009

(b) According to the NLB, an amount of R24 million was allocated to NYDA in 2010

(i) The response in PQ 930 was a direct response to the question posed in the respective parliamentary question.
