IFP pays tribute to cyclist Burry Stander
The IFP has received with sadness the news of the tragic passing of cyclist, Burry Stander, who was hit by a taxi last night.
IFP Spokesperson for Sport and Recreation, Mkhuleko Hlengwa MP, conveyed the IFP's condolences;
"On behalf of the IFP, I convey the most heartfelt condolences to the Stander family, Burry's wife and fellow cyclist, Cherise Taylor, the entire cycling community and all of his friends. We wish them strength during this trying and difficult time."
"Stander leaves behind a legacy that not only he and his family can be proud of but that the entire South Africa holds in deep admiration. His cycling credentials, from South Africa to Beijing to London, speak for themselves."
