It's time to crush forces of reaction in SA - SACP Mpumalanga

Party calls on people to reject sinister agenda by opportunistic commentators (Dec 12)

SACP Mpumalanga Media Statement

The Communist Party in Mpumalanga, coming from a successful National Red October Rally in Secunda on the 09th December, wants to reject some efforts by some of our religious fraternal organisations and individuals who are trying to influence the people's congress to the direction which we believe is reactionary and counterrevolutionary.

The ANC led Alliance is and will continue to play a crucial and vital role in the process of fundamental change in our Country, and work hard to eradicate disastrous legacy of apartheid colonialism, which we inherited in 1994 through our democratic breakthrough, which brought about a new era in our beloved country after almost a century long political struggle spearheaded by the ANC LED LIBERATION MOVEMENT.

The only disappointing thing about these forces of re-action and those who are opposed to a thorough going transformation of society from one dominated by apartheid capitalist monopoly capital into a people centred and people driven socio-economic transformation, is that they believe that they can substitute the collective wisdom of all the progressive forces with their neo-liberal outdated interventions.

This neo-liberal agenda is being challenged and contested globally e.g. in countries like USA by campaigners who occupy Wall Street and the disastrous EU BLOCK whose economies are in such a sick state that international economists are running out of words to describe their situation. This, we believe, should be rejected by all sane people and those who really love this country and its people.

It is important to remind those who have arrogated to themselves the right to speak on behalf of the struggling masses of our people, without any mandate, that the reason they speak too much is they represent bourgeois interests, come Mangaung our people are not stupid.

Our people know their leaders who represent their genuine interests. They engaged in the struggle in the first place to reclaim the right to their land and by extension the wealth it generates.

From the Party's perspective in Mpumalanga we believe the voices that are being heard and allocated regular space in the electronic and print media at the moment are not interested in advancing and deepening this struggle of the people to change the present economic status quo, hegemonised by white monopoly capital.

Instead these noises are being made by those who are seeking accommodation for the black elite within this untransformed and exploitative private sector that is still trapped in colonial era practises and behaviour.

Joe Slovo in his intervention on the NDR and working class document foresaw this situation and indicated that "the black middle class and elites in their effort to justify their seat in the masters table will seek to substitute the interest of the struggling masses with their own and present their narrow class interest as if it represents the interest of the broader masses".

We are calling on all progressive business people, intellectuals and civil society in general to reject this unholy and regressive intersection of white monopoly capital and the parasitic black elite, as it represents the most dangerous threat to the aspiration of the majority of the struggling masses and society in general.

This intersection we believe will perpetuate the present property and production relations which can only breed numerous Marikana incidents and bring about a collective demise of our democratic project that many of our brothers and sisters fought for and others paid the ultimate price for its achievement.

Those who are seeking to maintain the present status quo who of course are a few glorified black elites, will not experience this suffering as they will simply migrate to sunny Australia or the snowy Canada, whilst the masses of this country will have to pick-up the pieces left behind by this predatory class.

We call on the people of our beloved country to reject this sinister agenda by these opportunistic commentators, who miraculously wake up to the realisation of what the SACP has been saying all along about the corruptive nature of the intersection between business and politicians including public sector workers.

We call on the ANC members to reject their master's voice BUSA, whose silence is deafening on the treasonable act of their members of embarking on an investment strike when their fellow country man needed them to invest.

We further urge the delegates who will be congregating in the people's assembly in Mangaung, to adopt radical resolutions that will bring to an end centuries of social and economic humiliation of our people.

To ensure that our country is saved from this predatory and opportunistic nature of the bourgeoisie class, who's only objective is to plunder our resources at will, with little or no significant benefit to our people and country, courmaflaging as priests, business people, intellectuals, commentators etc.

The people of this country believe and trust the leadership of the ANC led Alliance, led by President Jacob Zuma, representing the most genuine progressive and committed force for meaningful change in our country.

It is noteworthy to observe the belated and seemingly be-grudgingly acceptance of the leadership and stewardship of our glorious movement led by the ANC as the only insurance to an egalitarian, non-racial, non-sexiest, democratic, united and prosperous South Africa.

IT IS TIME TO STAND UP AND FIGHT FOR REAL FREEDOM AND CRUSH ALL FORCES OF REACTION IN OUR COUNTRY.
