Zuma and Botha are no different; they have the same value system.
What else can we expect from the man from Nkandla. President Jacob Zuma is correct in comparing himself to the Afrikaner leader PW Botha. Botha built an airport in George for himself. He has too done wrong by building Nkandla homestead for himself with public funds.
At least we now know their moral compass is the discarded apartheid regime. Botha also suppressed the media; Msholozi too is following the same route with the controversial Secrecy Bill. Botha totally suppressed African communities; he too has militant police killing citizens for protesting for improved quality of life. In essence we cannot and must not expect anything better from this ANC- led government with their moral compass being the National Party value system.
The apartheid system corrupted our value system. It demeans human beings and raped the dignity of the African descendants. Zuma seems to have also cherished this from Botha. He now concedes that the informal settlements are the fruits of our freedom.
Botha continued and accelerated an education system which demeans the African child. 20 years later we still have an education system which has no founding philosophy or purpose. The purpose of education has not been clarified. Sometimes we are led to believe by this government that the purpose is to prepare people for the job market, something more similar to the National Party's purpose of preparing an African child to be a good servant of the white capital.
There was never any attempt to fundamentally change the system, all what has been continued is how best to assimilate to the rotten, discarded oppressive apartheid system.
