AFFIRMATIVE ACTION WILL ALIENATE MINORITIES FURTHER

 "The Freedom Front Plus rejects the ANC government's plans to apply national quotas for affirmative action appointments in provinces. It would have the effect that only black people will be advantaged through affirmative action and force the Indian and Brown communities into the camp of the newly disadvantaged, i.e. white," Adv. Anton Alberts, the parliamentary spokesperson on Labour for the Freedom Front Plus says.

"This amendment bill is nothing other than further social engineering to ensure that the advantaged class in South Africa is the black people of the country. The brown community, in particular, were advantaged the least of all in the past couple of years and are still suffering with extreme poverty. The answer does however not lie in keeping the status quo but to do away with affirmative action completely. Only an open economy in which there are equal opportunities and merit is used as the criteria for appointment will ensure that the economy grows and jobs are created for everyone," Adv. Alberts added.

The FF Plus will work for the scrapping of the racist system of affirmative action and black economic empowerment which up to now have led to only a small black elite being established. Affirmative action has effectively robbed the state and its capacity to deliver services. Affirmative action and BEE is in essence a system of stealing which effectively collects taxpayers' money without rendering proper services for it in return," Alberts added.
