What's the fuss all about? Political parties are out for Chuene's blood. Do they really know what they want or don't want? What's wrong did Leonard really do?
I must admit that ASA was wrong to test Caster for Sex without her knowledge. It was short sighted and I will accept an apology for that. But to ask for Leonard to resign or be fired its both opportunistic and populist.
I find it very difficult that Caster would rather have the other way round. Which is not having being afforded an opportunity to compete? Imagine if Leornard had prevented Caster from going to Berlin. That would have being cowardice, it would have been moronic.
Caster is now the best Women 800m athlete in the World, not even stripping her of her Medal will change that. She has created a brand out of herself and if well managed this brand will last forever. Caster's situation may look doom and gloomy, but she is a heroine without any doubt and Leonard has a lot to do with that.
Now, what went wrong here? The fact is IAAF made the biggest blunder of leaking Caster Semenya's private and personal information, the situation that ASA managed with flying colours.
Leonard was correct to forcefully ensure that Caster went to Berlin to compete. For her to go and explore her God given talent, to teach the world a thing or two about running the best 800m race. Those who feel that ASA should have stopped Caster from going to Berlin probably do not have children, if they do, they don't care about their children. Caster's parents must be grateful to Leonard for protecting their daughter's ability to express her God given talent
