Lumka Yengeni: COSATU’s silence is deafening
13 June 2016
A full week after the story first broke and COSATU is still silent on ANC MP, Lumka Yengeni's abuse of workers' rights. This is shameful.
If the largest labour union in the country really cared they would have expressed their anger immediately when this abuse was revealed.
Indeed, COSATU needs to provide clarity on whether they place the concerns of workers above the Tripartite Alliance by condemning the actions of ANC MP, Lumka Yengeni.
Many South Africans who face this abuse cannot afford legal counsel and are left to suffer unfair treatment. This is not an isolated incident but a real problem faced in South Africa.
