FF PLUS WILL DEFEND ITSELF AGAINST ANC
"I find it strange that the ANC and Gwede Mantashe, the Secretary General of the ANC now want to drag the FF Plus to court because we are asking that Malema is taken to court but it is not taking any action against the PAC's Youth League which threatened to murder Malema," was the reaction of Dr. Corné Mulder, FF Plus Chief Whip, to the ANC's intention to take the FF Plus to the Equality Court because of the party's "prosecute Malema campaign".
"The FF Plus will defend itself against the ANC in the Equality Court with the necessary means at its disposal. We will do it with the help and support of the broader South African community who just like us, is tired of Julius Malema's irresponsible and inciting comments," Mulder added.
It is upsetting that the senior leadership of the ANC, in the person of Gwede Mantashe is trying to defend the indefensible. To have a campaign, which asks that an end is put to the performance of the ANC Youth Leader who goes from platform to platform and makes himself guilty of hate speech and incitement of people, declared as hate speech, borders on the absurd.
The FF Plus has furthermore had no involvement in the murder of either Chris Hani or the Pepco Three. Mantashe's comments in this regard are irresponsible and he makes himself guilty of creating a certain dangerous climate about this issue.
