The DA has exposed itself as a party that distrusts black people and still subscribes to outdated colonial preconceptions and stereotypes
NEHAWU condemns and rejects the frivolous call by the leader of the Democratic Alliance, Helen Zille for a "full scale audit" of the 2013 matric results. This call is motivated by nothing other than the Afro-pessimism, racism and cheap politicking that is rampant in the ranks of the opposition party.
The DA has tried to hide its total distrust of black people by portraying itself in public as a rehabilitated political party that has left behind its dark past as an apartheid collaborator and enabler.
They have even cynically co-opted some naïve black political teenagers in their leadership ranks to fool the politically uninitiated.
Its public relations antics and lame propaganda is betrayed by its deep prejudices born of outdated colonial and imperial preconceptions and stereotypes about black people. For years, white supremacists considered black people to be primitive, lazy, backward and useless. Their {white people} superiority complex made them to be cynical and doubt the aptitude of black people and treat them as ignorant and semi-literate imbeciles.
The liberal bigots from the DA do not believe that anything positive can be achieved or done by black people without the supervision of white people.
When they are confronted by facts that disprove their deeply held supremacist beliefs they look for the lowest possible reason and when they find it they convince themselves and everyone that they have found the right one.
The DA has done nothing for the country over the last twenty years except to peddle anti-government propaganda, manipulate the system for their narrow ends and tarnish everything done by the government.
They have demoted or downplayed every achievement and have distorted the facts to suit their unconstructive outlook and narrative.
They have evolved from being an elected opposition party that is supposed to be a government watchdog, that constructively criticizes and offer possible solutions into professional naysayers, vexatious litigants and historical revisionists that suffer from historical amnesia.
Their latest call for the "full scale audit" of the matric results will have a deep psychological impact on the students who see their hard work being sneered at, and denigrated because they did not study in private schools. This is also likely to discourage some of these young people and lead them to despair if their matric achievements are constantly questioned and they only hear negative things about themselves.
The DA has accidentally exposed itself to the same "born-frees" it has been courting, as a party with antiquated views, that has not re-programmed its thinking or let go of the negative patterns of apartheid. It has exposed its inability to adopt and nourish positive realities that can transform the country for the better.
Young people have constantly shown that they are tired of negative gimmicks that are meant to break their spirit and undermine their ability to make positive change. The youth is looking for political parties that are able to study and analyse on a correct basis the developments at the same time putting forward their own aims and priorities for a coherent and efficient action.
The DA spectacularly fails in providing the above because their messages and strategies are hopelessly adapted to the needs of power. Sadly for them the people will not fall for the shimmering, greasy and cynical fraud that is their project and will reject the exhibitionism and exuberant nastiness from these smear merchants.
