Black business is appalled by the irresponsible and divisive utterances attributed to the BUSA Vice President and CEO of BLSA Mr Michael Spicer in the newsmaker section of the Sunday Times of this past weekend (see here).
Mr Spicer is inciting Big business to fight government and displays disrespect and contempt for our democratically elected government when he says "There is no such thing as Government now. There is a bunch of factions with different agendas...."
It is regrettable to learn that such a highly placed LEADER of Business harbours such disdainful thought about our government. This disgusting attitude must have immensely contributed to the pulling out of the BMF from the BUSA fold where Mr Spicer serves as Vice President. Clearly, this shows the attitude of whom, all along, we have been dealing with as a representative of both BUSA and BLSA.
CBBO calls upon decent South Africans to rebuke this delinquent behaviour as detracting from the decent discourse that Business and Government have become accustomed to.
Statement issued by Mr Bafana Ndendwa, Black Business under the Confederation of Black Business Organisations (CBBO), August 22 2011
