ANC CONDEMNS ATTACK OF ITS LEADERS

The African National Congress (ANC) in KwaZulu-Natal condemns in the strongest possible terms the brutal and senseless attack on our three comrades at Welbedacht, outside Durban on Wednesday night.

They are currently in a critical but stable condition in hospital.

"The ANC leadership and the entire membership are deeply shocked by this despicable attack. We condemn it and we urge our law enforcement agencies to work tirelessly to bring those responsible for the attack to justice," said ANC spokesperson, Senzo Mkhize.

According to police reports, the motive for the attack is unknown. The ANC however has noted with grave concern the continuous killing of its leaders in KwaZulu-Natal.

"The ANC deeply condemns these killings which seem to be well organized. We also appeal to our members and the community to assist the police in tracking down the people who are involved in these barbaric acts," said Mkhize
