New Lieutenant Colonel has only Grade 10 - AfriForum

This is the latest suspicious action by the KZN police chief, organisation says

KZN Police Chief appoints a Grade 10 as Lieutenant Colonel

Despite the fact that the Personal Assistant of Lieutenant General Mmamonnye Ngobeni, Provincial Police Commissioner of KwaZulu-Natal, only has a Grade 10 qualification at her disposal, she jumped five salary levels when she was recently appointed as a Staff Official and currently occupies the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

“We want answers, Lieutenant General Ngobeni needs to be treated in the same manner as Riah Phiyega, it is not her first suspicious action,” said Ian Cameron, AfriForum’s Head of Community Safety.

Cameron is of the opinion that Ngobeni has bended the rules before to obtain a job for her husband as Cluster Chief in KZN, while she is also currently being investigated by the Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID).

AfriForum today sent a letter to the National Police Commissioner, Lieutenant General Khomotso Phahlane, as request that the decision needs to be reviewed.
