NFP Umhlabauyalingana rejects ANC spin and endorses DA

The DA can confirm that the Umhlabauyalingana NFP constituency has decided to endorse the Democratic Alliance for the Local Government Electionstomorrow. 

Following a meeting between DA MPL and Constituency Head, Mbali Ntuli MPL, and NFP leaders, including NFP Constituency Chair, Justice Ntsele, and NFP Member of Parliament, and NFP Deputy Chairperson, Sicelo Mabika, a decision was taken to endorse the DA.

This makes a mockery of the ANC’s joint press conference with NFP ‘leadership’ today. The truth is that the NFP leadership never consulted all of their branches and structures, and across the province, more and more NFP members are supporting the DA.

This is because the DA is the best party to take South Africa forward again, by creating jobs, delivering better services and stopping corruption. We have a plan to bring our good governance model to many places across South Africa, and deliver for all.

We again urge NFP supporters not to be fooled by the last-ditch and desperate spinning by the ANC, and to join the DA in bringing the real change our municipalities need to move forward again.
