President Jacob Zuma appoints Constitutional Court Judge

President Jacob Zuma has in terms of section 174 (4) of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996, after consultation with Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng and leaders of the parties represented in the National Assembly, appointed Justice Nonkosi Zoliswa Mhlantla as a judge of the Constitutional Court with effect from 1 December 2015 in an existing vacancy. Justice Mhlantla is currently a judge of the Supreme Court of Appeal.
Justice Mhlantla will be filling a vacant position in the Constitutional Court which arose from the discharge from active of service of the late Justice Skweyiya.
President Zuma wishes Justice Mhlantla all the best in her new responsibilities.
