Now Gigaba threatens voters with the return of the "oppressors" - Pieter Mulder

FF+ leader says it is now surprise the ANC is fighting this election at such a low level

Gigaba learned nothing from Ramaphosa's apology

Minister Gigaba learned nothing from the controversy around Mr. Cyril Ramaphosa's scare tactics using the remarks that ‘the Boers will return'.

Minister Gigaba told Limpopo residents that if they do not vote for the ANC the "oppressors" will come back to rule. Who is the "oppressors" according to Min. Gigaba? Why are the "oppressors" not the new black elite that enrich themselves to the detriment of the poor?

Apart from the fact that such a statement is not based on any substantive facts, it is also polarizing.

It comes as no surprise that the ANC is fighting this election on such a low level. When a party's excuses, such as those of the ANC, for the high levels of corruption and poor service delivery run out, the party falls back onto primitive scare tactics and statements such as those made by Mr. Gigaba. It is clear from this how deep in trouble the ANC is with their impatient voters.

This election should be about how we are going to improve the economic growth rate so that more job opportunities could be created in South Africa for millions of poor people as well as how the different groups in the country could live together in peace without feeling threatened.
