NUM National Congress Reportback Rally to be addressed by newly elected leadership

The National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) will today hold a reportback rally as scheduled at Savuka stadium in Carletonville as from 10h00 to reportback to the members on the decisions adopted at its National Congress which came to an end last night.

The reportback rally will be addressed by the newly mandated leadership of the union. The results of the election held yesterday have been released late last night as follows:

President: Senzeni Zokwana

Deputy President: Piet Matosa

General Secretary: Frans Baleni

Deputy General Secretary: Tshimane Montoedi

Treasurer: David Macatha (Uncontested)

National Chair for Health and Safety: Peter Bailey

National Secretary For Health and Safety: Erick Gcilitshana (Uncontested)

National Secretary for Education: Ecliff Tantsi

National Chair for Education: Helen Diatile
