Metalworkers wishes Patrick Craven a speedy recovery
The National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (Numsa), the reliable and trusted affiliate of the Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU) wishes the indispensable voice of the working class Cde Patrick Craven a speedy recovery.
Cde Craven was admitted in hospital on Monday 19 September 2011, whilst he is still on leave from work. We are certain that he is in the caring hands of our great men and women health workers, and he soon will be back to his full-time responsibilities at COSATU House.
Cde Craven remains one of the most revered Spokespersons ever produced by the revolutionary and Socialist orientated trade union movement as led by COSATU. His passion and love for the workers struggle is an inspiration to the new, young and energetic Spokespersons or Propagandists emerging within the ranks of the trade union movement and other class formations.
The ever-growing and biggest Metalworkers union in South Africa wishes you a speedy recovery Cde Craven and we expect to see you back at work and be marshalling the Federation's propaganda or communication strategy as we swell the streets of our country to demand a total ban of labour brokers, decisive action against the scourge of corruption, a New Growth Path that places job creation at the centre. These struggles will be won not only on the ground, but also in public discourse with your incisive and sober articulation of working class ideas and aspirations.
