OLD NATALSPRUIT HOSPITAL BEING LOOTED

The old Natalspruit Hospital in Katlehong is being looted of metal parts, despite assurances by Gauteng Health MEC Qedani Mahlangu that it would be securely guarded and demolished in an orderly manner.

Security guards are on a go-slow as they have not been paid since August when patients were transferred to the new hospital in Vosloorus.

I am very disappointed that the old hospital is not being demolished safely and properly as promised.

The Gauteng Infrastructure Development Department is now responsible for the site and needs to take control of what is happening there.

Anything of value should be sold or donated to community organisations, rather than left for thieves.
