Cops need bribes to do their job, Senzo Meyiwa's father says
Durban – A year after the death of Senzo Meyiwa, the father of the Bafana Bafana goalkeeper maintains there is a conspiracy against finding his son's killers.
Speaking to News24 on Monday, Sam Meyiwa said he was fondly remembering his son on the anniversary of his death.
"We are very busy today with family rituals. I have recalled some fond memories of my son and it hurts me that his killers have not yet been found."
Sam Meyiwa said he believed police were taking too long to find his son’s killers.
"It is very frustrating for me and the rest of the family. I don’t know what is happening with police in South Africa. I think over here they need [a] bribe for them to do their job."
