Public Protector interviews off to shaky start as EFF demands process be re-opened
11 August 2016
Cape Town – The interviews for the public protector position got off to a shaky start on Thursday, after
EFF chief whip Floyd Shivambu called for the shortlisting process to be re-opened.
Armed with a lawyer’s letter questioning why EFF chairperson Dali Mpofu was not shortlisted, Shivambu accused the committee of steamrolling the process.
He also slammed the committee’s decision to interview all 14 candidates in one day.
