Presidency welcomes Court Judgement on Presidential Handbook

The Presidency has welcomed the order made by the North Gauteng High Court confirming the undertaking made by the Presidency to avail, on or before 30 November 2015, the Presidential Handbook. 

Accordingly, the Presidency will submit the Handbook as ordered by the court. 

The AfriForum organisation had sought disclosure of certain confidential documents. The Presidency therefore also welcomes the court's clarity that AfriForum is not entitled to invoke the Promotion of Access to Information Act to access Cabinet documents.
