COMPLAINT: D MAYNIER

I refer to your letter dated 25 January 2011 in which you requested an update on this matter. My office met with Paul Ngobeni and his attorneys on 6 December 2010. At the meeting this matter was discussed at length and they undertook to make information available to my office and to respond formally to issues my office had raised.

The information was sent to my office on 10 January 2011, and we are in the process of perusing the documentation to enable us to finalise the matter, prior to this I had a meeting with the Minister of Defence. She provided a lot of information that has dealt with some of the matters under investigation. We envisage that the matter will be finalised before the end of February 2011.
