Purported plans to boo Zuma utterly disgusting - SACP Mpumalanga

Party rejects claim it is planning to disrupt ANC President's January 8th address on Saturday with the contempt it deserves

Purported Plans to boo President Zuma utterly disgusting

The South African Communist Party (SACP) and the working class in Mpumalanga start the year 2014 with battles against the lumpen-tenderprenuers who are permanently hell-bent on fighting communists in all spheres and exploiting the working class politically and economically. This tendency has found resonance within the congress movement and is driven by the agenda to accumulate wealth on a private basis, and is reflected in the sub-cultures of crass materialism and greed.

We have noted with utter disgust the purported statements that the SACP in the province is planning to boo the President of the African National Congress (ANC) on Saturday, 11 January 2014 in Mbombela Stadium. These accusations are spread by those who don't understand the alliance and how it operates, as well as those who are possibly engaged in such plans themselves, which as the SACP we condemn to the contempt it deserves.

The SACP is engaged in Red-Fora's and public lectures, mobilising in support of the 102nd ANC Anniversary and January 8 Statement Rally, as well as in support of President Jacob Zuma, the entire ANC National Executive Committee and the Alliance.

The SACP supports the ANC unconditionally, and will continue to do so despite some elements who seek to undermine the unity and cohesion of the Alliance in the province. The SACP in the province reiterate its commitment to mobilise for a decisive ANC electoral victory in the province and nationally. We will continue defend the ANC from imperialist agents and those who wish to finish it off from within like a Trojan-horse.

We know there are attempts by the lumpen-tenderprenuers constipated by resources, to rent a crowd with Red T-shirts disguising to be SACP members, to boo President and undermine the ANC. The SACP calls on all our formations to close rank and give these enemy agents no quarter. We call on our movement to put systems in place to expose the disruptors and deal a blow to their agenda.

As the SACP we will continue to roll-out our programme. We will implement its campaign without fear or intimidation from those who want to be feared. We will fight against corruption, kleptocracy and tenderprenuership, just like comrade Bomber Ntshangase, Jimmy Mohlala, Ephraim Mogale, Juda Tsotetsi, etc., who fought against those tendencies.

We reiterate our call to the Minister of Police to release reports on political killings in the province. All those who are found to be responsible must be arrested and bought to book. The brutal killing of Cde Jimmy Mohlala and Bomber Ntshangase will never be forgotten. The perpetrators must be arrested and confess in whose interest they murdered those comrades.

Statement issued by Bonakele Majuba, SACP Mpumalanga, January 8 2014
