SAA must clarify cadet enrolment policy

Reports that South African Airways (SAA) is excluding some racial groups from the company's cadet pilot programme are cause for concern.

Our economy is dependent on the airline industry, especially in the creation and retention of jobs. We must therefore extend opportunities to participate in the airline industry to all South Africans, regardless of race.

It is of the utmost importance that we as South Africans honour our past, but equally, we must be allowed to own our future. 

All South Africans have a place and a role to play in building a successful, healthy and happy society. We should be concentrating on building bridges, not creating divides based on skin colour.
