SACP calls on members to form guard around Luthuli House

Party says DA must take full responsibility and be held accountable for consequences of march

Hands off ANC, hands off! DA' can't be left unattended "taking" a "fight to Luthuli House"

The SACP has noted that the political representatives of apartheid remnants and beneficiaries and monopoly capital which ravaged South Africa's resources and labour through economic exploitation - the DA ("Democratic Alliance") continues with its gimmicks of "taking the fight to Luthuli House" - the headquarters of our ally and leading formation of our national liberation movement the African National Congress (ANC). DA's "taking the fight to Luthuli House" is expected to occur tomorrow - Tuesday, 4 February 2014 in opposition to the ANC's election manifesto and fundamentally the national democratic revolution - our shared perspective with the ANC.

As a long standing and reliable ally of the ANC, the SACP was consulted and participated in the development of the ANC's manifesto. The SACP supports, tirelessly and selflessly campaigns in favour of ANC's electoral victory which is an essential component of the strategic goal of our national democratic revolution - the achievement of the vision of the Freedom Charter. It is our firm belief that the realisation of the vision of the Freedom Charter will lay an indispensable basis for an advance to socialism.

The SACP calls on its members and supporters to turn out in their numbers at Luthuli House tomorrow - Tuesday, 4 February 2014 early in the morning to form a guard of honour in defence of our ally and the national democratic revolution and against the DA's incitement of violence - "taking the fight the fight to Luthuli House". The SACP reiterates its condemnation of the incitement of violence. The uncaring grouping called the DA must take full responsibility and be held accountable for the consequences of "taking" their "fight to Luthuli House" to morrow.
