SACP welcomes and supports the decision of the ANC NEC to intervene in Limpopo ANC PEC
18 March 2013
The South African Communist Party in Limpopo welcomes the ANC NEC decision to dissolve the ANC PEC in Limpopo. This intervention will strengthen the ANC and the Alliance in this province. The SACP supports the decision and are looking forward to the new leadership collective who together with us will work tirelessly to strengthen the alliance.
This decision shows that the ANC has a capacity to listen and respond accordingly to the working class and the rural masses' call for change and organisational renewal at every given moment. The disbanded ANC PEC in Limpopo was a poor show of the true values that the ANC represents. Factionalism, corruption and tenderpreneurship were the worst form of organisational practice within the recently disbanded leadership. Some of these were previously exorcised from SACP provincial leadership for not being consistent with the programme of the working class and the National Democratic Revolution.
The dissolution of the ANC PEC is a clear demonstration of seriousness to reinstate the confidence of the entire Limpopo populace in the ANC as a people's national liberation movement for transformation and socio-economic development of the working class.
This also marks the beginning of a process to build a new cadre who serves the working class with humility, honesty and spirit of selflessness underscored by human solidarity. A cadre of this calibre is highly necessary to champion good governance which must be corruption free and deliver quality services to the working class and the rural masses on time.
