COSATU response to the SADTU statement on the Limpopo Textbook Crisis

The Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU) notes the unfortunate statement released by the South African Democratic Teachers Union (SADTU) Limpopo.

As a matter of principle, the Federation will not publicly engage the statement as there are internal channels to address the issue.

The COSATU leadership will engage the leadership of SADTU in order to amicably resolve this matter.

COSATU believes that SADTU is an invaluable asset in the transformation of the basic education system and the breeding of a culture of excellence amongst teachers and learners.
