DA calls on sjambok attacker to turn himself in to police
10 November 2014
Reports of the violent sjambok attack of Phillipi resident, Muhammed Makungwa, by an unidentified man are upsetting.
Makungwa, a gardener, was allegedly severely beaten with a sjambok by an unidentified motorist while on his way to work. He suffered head wounds and bruises to his body as a result (see Cape Times report).
The DA calls on the South African Police Services (SAPS) to find the perpetrator and bring him to book.
We further call on the man who brutally attacked Muhammed Makungwa to turn himself in at the nearest police station.
