Solidarity serves court papers on Minister Sisulu over Cubans
18 May 2021
Solidarity today will serve court papers on the Minister of Human Settlements, water and Sanitation, Lindiwe Sisulu, on the imported Cuban engineers.
The legal process includes the disclosure of information, an interdict to stop the deployment process of the Cuban engineers as well as an application for a review of the government’s decision.
The legal action follows after the minister did not meet the deadline to submit a proposal to defuse the dispute between Solidarity and the government.
Solidarity also said that it was proceeding with legal action, but that further talks should not be ruled out.
