ANC STATEMENT ON THE OUTCOME OF THE ELECTION OF THE NORTH WEST PROVINCIAL EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

The African National Congress (ANC) would like to announce the election of the new Provincial Executive Committee (PEC) of the North West province.  The PEC is constituted as follows:

Chairperson - Supra Mahumapelo, votes: 409
Deputy chairperson - China Dodovu, votes: 500
Secretary - Kabelo Mataboge, votes: 480
Dept Secretary - Gordon Kegakilwe, votes: 398
Treasurer - Philemon Mapulane, votes: 390

The ANC congratulates all comrades elected and we are confident that the new leadership of the province will execute the mandate of the ANC with the necessary diligence, care and commitment.  The ANC will always remain the custodian of the interests of the majority of our people in various localities that they find themselves.

We therefore make a call to all members of the ANC to embrace this new leadership and work with it.  Equally, we also appeal to all mass democratic movement structures and our Alliance partner in particular to work together with this newly elected leadership.
