Cash reward for information on suspects behind the business robbery at the offices of the State Capture Commission of Inquiry
PARKTOWN - Police in Gauteng are appealing for assistance from the public, and are offering a cash reward for information that could lead to the arrest and successful prosecution of suspects believed to be responsible for the business robbery at the offices of the State Capture Commission of Inquiry at the Hillside Building in Parktown. The incident happened on 18 April 2021 where the suspects made off with a computer and two monitors.
The investigating team has at this stage gathered evidence which indicates that at least three suspects were involved in the robbery. Police have subsequently been able to extract from security camera footage, clear images of two of the three suspects.
The positive identification of these suspects is key to the investigation in reference, hence the cash reward that is on offer to any individual who can give information that will lead to the arrest and successful prosecution of the suspects.
It has further emerged during the preliminary investigation that the suspects were armed at the time of the business robbery. Therefore, anyone who is able to identify and subsequently spot the suspects, is urged not to confront the suspects as they could be armed and dangerous, but to rather contact the Investigating Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Mathothe on 079 694 6404.
