Tshwane one of the few municipalities that does not owe Eskom

The Democratic Alliance (DA) would like to place it on record that the DA-led City of Tshwane is not behind on any payments to Eskom.
In fact, the DA-led City of Tshwane is one of the few municipalies in Gauteng that does not owe Eskom any money.
But Gauteng Cooperative Government and Traditional Affairs (COGTA) MEC Lebogang Maile deliberately excluded the DA-led City of Tshwane from the list of municipalities that are not in debt to Eskom, in the press release issued after he met with Eskom executives yesterday, due to his own political agenda with Tshwane.
The City's finances are stable and its creditors are paid when due since we took over the running of the municipality in 2016.
