UNPO adopts FF Plus resolution on farm murders and Afrikaans
7 July 2015
The Unrepresented Nations and Peoples Organisation (UNPO) adopted resolutions of the FF Plus on farm murders and Afrikaans during its twelfth general congress in Brussels, Belgium, and now has to take action to protect one of its members – in this instance, the Afrikaner – in terms of its mandate.
This means that pressure will be placed on the South African government on the highest international level to provide answers and take action against farm murders and the assault of Afrikaans as mother tongue medium of instruction.
Dr. Pieter Groenewald, chairperson of the FF Plus, presented the resolution on farm murders and addressed the congress on violent attacks and murders which targets the farming community as a strategic minority.
In terms of the adopted resolution, UNPO will now call on the South African Human Rights Commission (HRC) to issue its report of its investigation into farm murders and the United Nations Human Rights Commission will be requested to investigate the issue.
