THEUNS BOTHA RESPONDS TO MAX OZINSKY'S STATEMENT ON SWELLENDAM

Mr. Ozkinsky's statement is nothing less than political posturing (see here). The DA was material in bringing the Swellendam matter to Scopa.  The DA Provincial government will scrutinize any allegation of misconduct or maladministration, regardless of the political party  in control.  The investigation into the affairs of Swellendam, now on the agenda of SCOPA, is open to all.

It is ironic that, Max Ozinsky is now so barking on about Swellendam, when he did everything possible to protect the Bitou ANC Councillors and officials from allegations of theft, corruption and maladministration. The DA also brought this to SCOPA. The ANC in government at the time, ensured that their Councillors and officials got off scot free, despite allegation of theft and other irregularities. 

The ANC must have their backs against the wall in dealing with the collective baggage of Rasool and Fransman, but this sort of mad accusation of Ozinsky just does not hold water.
